The Earth Wish project

Where did it come from ?

Like many of you, the damage to the integrity, beauty and sanctity of life that i witness every day is a challenge to my faith and aspiration in a more conscious and generous humanty, evolving towards greater respect of all forms of life. Fortunately, everywhere, men, women mobilize themselves to face the tremendous problems that our obsolete model of civilization bequeathed us. Individually or in groups, in small structures or communities, they seek, innovate, act, fight, refuse to give up when confronted with local or universal problems. They are many of them already, but so widly scattered in the webspace that their voices can hardly be heard, their testimonies hardly be known.

So my goal became to create a website wich would collect, gather and spread freely these seeds of action and inspiration, that they might enlighten and nourish other human beings throughtout the world.

Originality

The strength of Earth Wish is its dual concept of library and social network, enriched by a conscious and humanistic vision. A mix of Google for its gathering and searching capabilities and Facebook it's social network dynamics.

Some history

The idea came to me in the spring 2008. I was trying to find a website wich would offer what i just described above and would also operate on a free model's base. But i've found none. Such site of free and global wisdom sharing remained to be invented.

How will it work ?

In concrete terms, sharing your experience on Earth Wish will be as simple as answering these 3 questions:
* Who am i
* What's my field of commitment
* The testimony/experience i want to sahre

The framework will be flexible: I am an individual or a group of people (company, association, community...). I am the one who is involved or i might speak on behalf of a group. I may describe a project or something wich is ongoing or completed. It might be simply something i've just read or viewed, wich touched me and i want to share.

Wishes

The offer of some words to the Earth is the first step of the Earth Wish project. This idea arouses in my soul a very deep echoe. Though i am european and white, it binds me to other traditions for which speaking to the Earth was considered and still is perfectly natural. In their view, to offer our words is an act which resonnates far beyond the realm of our life. To forget this is to forget that our words have the power to change what exists.

An important place will be dedicated to these men and women whose personality and charism have struck a cord in you, and about whom you want to talk.

Funding

Earth Wish will be an entirely free website, operating under the economic model of free donation.

The future

Thus, overtime, Earth Wish will become a living library of human wisdom, featuring : realtime sharing of experiences, advanced mode of consultation and research, geolocation, grants for the most promissing projects, etc...

About the author

Dominique Radisson, 42, french living in France. After studies of communication sociology at the Sorbonne, he is now webmaster and developer of websites. For the past ten years, he has been trained and teaches bioenergetic practices such as wutao (wutao.fr), taijiquan and respiration. He has also been trained in western bioenergetics techniques of analysis inspired by Wilelm Reich (transanalysis).
